This museum celebrates and documents the distinctive cultures, diversity, and ever-transforming city and people of New York.

Founded in 1923, the Museum of the City of New York connects the past, present and future of New York City. Serving both New Yorkers and visitors from around the world, the museum educates and entertains through exhibitions, programs, publications and an exciting collection of approximately 750,000 objects – including prints, photographs, decorative arts, costumes, paintings, sculpture, toys and theatrical memorabilia.
